Q Drinks – Gluten Free sodas and carbonated mixers

Most cocktail sodas are lousy. Designed from unpronounceable ingredients by multinational corporations, sweetened beyond recognition with high fructose corn syrup, and packaged in generic containers, the typical cocktail soda is an afterthought that adds nothing to the drinking experience.new_homepage

Q Drinks makes sodas — clean, crisp, completely ungeneric beverages that enhance the finest spirits and stand proudly on their own. Using only the best ingredients — organic agave from the Mexican countryside, quinine from the slopes of the Peruvian Andes, ginger from the fields of Southeast Asia, and salt from the Himalayas. Spectacular on their own and good enough for anything you want to mix them with!

I love that Q soda’s have less sugar than traditional sodas and are therefore less sweet. The flavors are pronounced – ginger beer tasted like ginger, grapefruit soda tasted like grapefruit. Most sodas taste sugary and artificial with a very sweet taste of flavor. Q sodas are definitely different.

Q Drinks tonic water, ginger beer, and other flavors are carried by many restaurants, bars, and retailers including Whole Foods, Safeway, HEB, and Amazon.

I've been on a gluten free diet since January 2009. It's been an adventure, and a challenge at times. I love to go to new restaurants and try new foods, and being gluten free can make eating out difficult at times. But I will not let my dietary restrictions get in my way of finding new restaurants and products. These are my stories of being a young women in a big city, eating out and trying new foods, all while NOT eating gluten. Like I said, it's an adventure and you are welcome to come along... Please note that as I try to eat gluten free 100% of the time, my intolerance is not as severe as others so please use caution when dining at restaurants that are not certified gluten free.
