Hearthy Organic Pumpkin Flour

Last week I posted about Hearthy Foods gluten free pies. Today, I want to talk about another product from Hearthy Foods. As you know I love pumpkin – pumpkin spiced lattes, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin curry, just to name a few. And I just learned of a fun new pumpkin product – Pumpkin flour! Until last week, I didn’t know pumpkin flour existed and I was very excited when Hearthy Foods sent me their pumpkin flour to try!

Hearthy Organic Pumpkin Flour is an excellent rich dietary source of minerals like copper, calcium, potassium and phosphorus and magnesium, nutrients that are essential for heart health and muscle recovery.  It is an easily digestible source of potassium, vitamins, minerals and beta-carotene. Also, Pumpkin Flour has Vitamin A, and Vitamin C.

Pumpkin Flour is a sweet and irresistible flour perfectly suited to replace all-purpose flour. You can add it to any recipe – use in bread, pancakes, brownies, cookies, cakes, muffins, waffles, ice creams or smoothies for an extra boost of nutrition and flavor. Most recipes suggest substituting pumpkin flour for up to 1/4 of the amount of regular flour. I used it in cookies by replacing half the all purpose flour with pumpkin flour. I loved the sweet pumpkin flavor it gave the cookies!

Hearthy Pumpkin Flour is Gluten Free, Paleo, Grain Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free, Soy Free, Organic and non-GMO.

You can purchase Hearthy Organic Pumpkin Flour online via Amazon and Hearthy’s online store. Hearthy also makes almond flour, apple flour, banana flour, carrot flour, oat flour and potato flour.

Disclaimer: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I was not paid to write this review.

I've been on a gluten free diet since January 2009. It's been an adventure, and a challenge at times. I love to go to new restaurants and try new foods, and being gluten free can make eating out difficult at times. But I will not let my dietary restrictions get in my way of finding new restaurants and products. These are my stories of being a young women in a big city, eating out and trying new foods, all while NOT eating gluten. Like I said, it's an adventure and you are welcome to come along... Please note that as I try to eat gluten free 100% of the time, my intolerance is not as severe as others so please use caution when dining at restaurants that are not certified gluten free.
