Celiac Awareness Month // ABBA Paleo Bars Giveaway

So last month I introduced you to ABBA Paleo Bars, a line of organic, all natural healthy snack bars. And TODAY, in honor of Celiac Awareness Month, I am giving away 4 bars, one of each flavor, to one lucky reader!

As a busy young professional always on the go either with work or for fun, I’m constantly searching for new products that are are easy to take on-the-go and are made with real, healthy ingredients that will keep me going. So many snacks and on-the-go foods are loaded with sugar, sugar substitutes, fruit juice concentrates, soy protein, preservatives, artificial flavors and so on. Then there are ABBA Paleo Bars. Made with organic and non-GMO ingredients, these bars are healthy and delicious!

The original ABBA Paleo Bar was named “Whey Too Yummy!!” and  was later changed to ABBA, short for Abby,Baker, Ben, and Anne, the founding family of ABBA Paleo Bars.

ABBA Paleo Bars provide 4 different delicious flavors:

  • Whey Too Yummy: A yummy combination of whey protein, organic cashew butter and cacao nibs, it’s nutty with the texture of chocolate fudge.
  • Peanut Butter & Yummy: Creamy texture, nutty flavor and sweet cherries combine for a PB&J sandwich flavored bar.
  • Cuckoo for Coconut: Mild coconut flavor with major chocolate yumminess and the texture of a moist brownie!
  • Pea is for Paleo: With a pea protein base and pumpkin seeds it’s a protein packed treat!

My favorite is the Cuckoo for Coconut! I love anything with chocolate and coconut! It’s not too sweet and has a great texture. I also like the Pea for Paleo, which I was hesitant to try but actually really enjoyed the pumpkin seeds and it did not taste too pea-like.

ABBA PAleo Bars are gluten free, soy free, dairy free (except Whey Too Yummy flavor) and made with organic and non-GMO ingredients like cashew butter, pumpkin seeds, greens blend, flaxseed, dates, dark chocolate chips, and chia seeds. The only reason carbohydrates are used in the bars is because they are necessary for texture. Other than that, you won’t find many carbs. Rather, the bars contain healthy fats, greens and plenty of antioxidants.

Did I mention ABBA Paleo Bars are low in sugar as well? That’s a big plus in my book. The serving size is small enough to be just enough to satisfy without being too filling and heavy.

I've been on a gluten free diet since January 2009. It's been an adventure, and a challenge at times. I love to go to new restaurants and try new foods, and being gluten free can make eating out difficult at times. But I will not let my dietary restrictions get in my way of finding new restaurants and products. These are my stories of being a young women in a big city, eating out and trying new foods, all while NOT eating gluten. Like I said, it's an adventure and you are welcome to come along... Please note that as I try to eat gluten free 100% of the time, my intolerance is not as severe as others so please use caution when dining at restaurants that are not certified gluten free.

  1. Pea is for Paleo sounds wonderful as it’s loaded with healthy greens and fiber.

  2. The Peanut Butter and Yummy sounds delicious! I would love to try that one!

  3. The Whey Too Yummy bar would be my top pick. Coconut would be a close second, but they all sound really delicious!
